Therapy

The heart of what we do: therapy for moms.

Expectation vs Reality

You may have expected to feel more settled, more confident, or more like yourself after becoming a mother.

Instead, you might feel anxious, overwhelmed, mentally stretched, or unsure why things feel harder than you thought they would.

For many women, this isn’t what they pictured—and it can be difficult to make sense of.

This might look like:

  • Constant overthinking or a mind that won’t slow down

  • Feeling mentally overloaded by the invisible responsibilities of motherhood

  • Becoming easily overstimulated or needing more space than you’re able to get

  • Feeling anxious, on edge, or unable to fully relax

  • Not feeling like yourself, or questioning who you are in this stage of life

  • Feeling disconnected—from yourself, your partner, or your experience of motherhood

These experiences are more common than they’re talked about—and they are treatable.

Our Areas of Expertise

We specialize in supporting mothers navigating:

(when the emotional and mental shift into this role feels harder than expected)

  • Birth trauma
(processing difficult or overwhelming birth experiences)

  • ADHD in motherhood
(managing focus, overwhelm, and executive functioning in the context of parenting)

  • Identity shifts in motherhood
(feeling like you’ve lost parts of yourself or aren’t sure who you are anymore)
